Conferences and Exhibitions

Dulwich College combines elegance and tradition with modern facilities for meetings, training courses and conferences. The newly refurbished accommodation supports meeting rooms for numbers from 3 to 300. An experienced and flexible catering service compliments the extensive facilities.

Conferences

The Great Hall is an imposing room for a large meeting or conference. Modelled on Westminster Hall, the painted hammer beam roof, the great five-light traceried windows and the unusual lantern combine to produce the most impressive and beautiful room. Imposing staircases lead down to the Lower Hall, which can be used as an equally impressive reception area.

The hall has a seating capacity of 486 theatre style, a raised stage area of 13m x 4m, blackout facilities, a PA system and a good acoustic.

The Boardroom provides an imposing area for important meetings. The carved oak table with inlaid leather provides comfortable seating for up to twenty delegates, while impressive portraits of eminent Old Alleynians hang over Pugin wallpaper.

Exhibitions

Dulwich College has a long tradition of hosting exhibitions of all types, ranging from antiques and craft fairs to presentations of the latest pharmaceutical technology. A variety of rooms is available. Excellent road, train and bus links, coupled with on-site car parking for over 150 vehicles makes access easy for visitors.

Christison Hall with its enormous window overlooking the College grounds gives a pleasant feeling of light and space. The foyer, in conjunction with the main hall, gives a total exhibition area on the ground floor of approximately 470 square metres. Two areas on the first floor provide further exhibition space if required. These first floor areas can also provide refreshment areas.

Centre Block The main buildings of Dulwich College consist of the Great Hall, Lower Hall, North Cloister and South Cloister. These areas combine to give an exhibition space of approximately 620 square metres in a traditional setting. The classical Lower Hall is flanked by the cloisters and impressive staircases lead the mediaeval style Great Hall.

The Old Library is ideally suited for smaller exhibitions. Situated away from the main College buildings, the vaulted ceiling gives the wood-panelled main room space and light, while the high, leaded, arched windows give a sense of privacy. The Carver Room and Rotunda lead off the main room to provide a total exhibition space of 177 square metres.
